1. How long will it take to process my application? 

We can’t tell you exactly how long it will take us to process your application. Each application is different and takes a different amount of time to process. We can give you an estimate, based on your application type.

2. Can I do my biometrics ahead of time?

If you need to give your biometrics, IRCC sends a biometric instruction letter to you either by mail or through your account when you apply.

3. Can I travel to Canada with my family?

Depending on the type of application and requirements, you can travel to Canada with your family.

4. I want to study in Canada, what do I do?

To study in Canada, you need to obtain an acceptance letter from a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) to apply for a

study permit.

5. Can I work while studying?

You may be able to work on and off campus depending on the conditions on your study permit.

6. How much money do I need to study in Canada?

You need enough money to pay your tuition, your living expenses, books and health insurance if applicable. Example, a

single may need $13,000 to settle in Canada.
